Personal Development
At Warter CE Primary, we believe Personal Development is key to nurturing the whole child. Our curriculum helps pupils gain the knowledge, skills, and values they need to thrive in today’s world. We teach children about British Values—like respect, tolerance, democracy, and individual liberty—helping them to grow into confident, caring individuals who understand themselves and others.
Our approach is deeply rooted in our Christian values of hope, perseverance, friendship, and respect, providing a strong foundation for pupils to learn, grow, and achieve. Through our carefully planned Golden Threads and a wide range of texts, Personal Development is woven throughout the curriculum, encouraging pupils to explore different cultures, beliefs, and ideas in an inclusive and meaningful way.
We also offer enriching experiences throughout the year that inspire creativity and curiosity. By involving teachers, pupils, and the wider community in shaping our Personal Development programme, we ensure it meets the needs of our school family.
The impact of our Personal Development is clear: pupils leave Warter equipped not only for academic success but also as thoughtful, responsible citizens ready to contribute positively to society. We aim to empower every child to make informed choices, build resilience, and lead happy, fulfilling lives.
