Head's Welcome

Welcome to Warter C.E. Primary School

Welcome to Warter Church of England Primary School! We are a small, caring school rooted in the Christian values of hope, perseverance, friendship and respect. Our school’s vision — “He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand” (Psalm 40:2) — underpins all aspects of school life and ensures every pupil has a secure foundation for learning and for life.

Visitors often comment on how friendly and welcoming our school feels. Our recent SIAMS feedback noted how pupils are young advocates of our values and that our Christian vision is lived out across school — something we work on together, day by day. That sense of community and high expectation means children are supported to grow academically, socially and spiritually.

Nursery and EYFS provision

We are proud to offer nursery provision delivered within our EYFS setting. Being part of school means children become familiar with routines, adults and the learning environment from the start — helping them to be school-ready, confident and settled. Sessions are flexible to meet families’ needs, so please ask about availability, hours and how we can support transition into Reception.

Our class structure is: EYFS (Nursery and Reception), Year 1 — Red Kites, Year 2 — Falcons, Year 3 — Owls, Year 4/5 — Kestrels, and Year 5/6 — Merlins.

The best way to understand Warter is to visit. I’d be delighted to show you around, introduce you to staff and children, and talk through the curriculum, wraparound care and nursery options.

Please contact the office to arrange a visit or to ask any questions — we look forward to meeting you.
