Physical Education
'Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does.'
Nelson Mandela
Our Vision
At Warter, we believe that physical education is vital to the physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils. PE not only enables pupils to develop their skills in terms of physical power, strength and accuracy, but also in regards to speaking and listening, collaboration, strategic thinking and problem solving.
Physical education requires pupils to be disciplined and responsible in order to engage with activities safely and effectively. Both team and individual sports introduce the idea of healthy competition and provide an environment in which pupils build their resilience and practise self-assessment in order to improve.
Swimming Achievements 2024-25
At Warter CE Primary School, we are proud to report that 88% of our pupils met or exceeded the national swimming requirements for their age group during the 2024-25 academic year.
This includes proficiency in all key aspects of swimming and water safety as outlined in the national curriculum.
We are committed to ensuring every pupil develops essential swimming skills to promote confidence, safety, and lifelong physical activity. Our dedicated PE team continues to provide high-quality swimming lessons and targeted support to help all pupils achieve these important outcomes.
