Science at Warter CE Primary School encompasses learning about physical, chemical and biological aspects of earth and space. 

Our science lessons encourage pupils to be enquiry-minded: to ask questions and begin to develop processes that enable them to find answers.

 

Pupils are expected, in equal measure, to develop their scientific knowledge (what) and their working scientifically capabilities (how). As such, lessons are carefully planned to facilitate the development of both of these areas.

As they progress through school, science lessons enable pupils at Warter to build on knowledge gained in prior years. This gives them ample opportunity to consolidate their learning, challenge any misconceptions they may have and deepen their understanding of scientific concepts.
